    March 1885. Elisha Niles Welch, a financial entrepreneur was able to acquire control of three failing clock factories in the late 1850’s. These he combined into one factory, the E. N. Welsh Manufacturing Company, incorporated in 1864, and for nearly thirty years was the largest clockmaker in the territory. This is a reprint of the 1885 catalog.
