The 11-speed SLX rear derailleur is available in terms of function and switching performance after the XT rear derailleur in nothing, only the slightly higher weight could be regarded as negative point.
As the big brother of Shimano's top series, it delivers stehts quick and smooth shifts. The revised Shadow + technology, the bias of the chain via a small lever at the switch can be set in two stages.
So you can decide whether the chain with less chain tension should run more smoothly, or has to be stretched tighter for ruppiges abrogating. The Shadow design reduces lateral overhang of the rear derailleur,
thus reducing the risk of getting stuck with the rear derailleur to sticks and stones.
The jockey wheels used with sealed bearings run, very clean and have a long life!
